hi, never had the lead made, there was no seperate amp in my car lol !
we eventually used a parrot lead this sends the head unit output to the trunk and then the spkr output from your new amps back to the front and into the sprks, works well |

a parrot lead has a custom connector which fits to the back of your oem head unit, in between the head and the speaker leads.
so, you 'just' remove the head unit, unplug the oem spkr leads from the back, plug in the parrot connector, plug in the spkr leads to the parrot connector, then take the parrot lead back to the trunk. this will give you high outs from the parrot lead in the trunk which you can feed into the various amps. the high outs from your after market amps can then go to the front of the car via the parrot lead. saves you rewiring all the spkrs in your car. works very well in my bmw5. the parrot lead is about the tickness of my thumb, bunched up, they are all seperate so you can flatten them behind the trim of your car. |
