Really nice shots, I personally would have liked a little more motion blur on the second shot. More of a personal preference than a criticism. They both look great

Thank you for the feedback. I did not slow the shutter down until we were almost back to my house, rendering most of the shots unusable (looks like the car was stopped on the freeway lol). I want to make a second attempt to get some more blur, but maybe after I lower it or get the reflectors.

My wife actually suggested that to me, and it is definitely something I want to do. I did it on another car when I was younger with High Temp engine paint. I am unsure how well the color will match if I do it that way, but I guess it does not have to be an exact match?!?

Haha yeah, well I explained a few "car" things to her while we were dating a long time ago, so now she knows what calipers are, and points them out every time she sees ones that are painted :-)

You need a slow shutter speed. The first trip up the freeway I had the shutter speed on too fast, so it just looked like the car was stopped on the freeway, so on the way back I slowed it down. Slowing the shutter speed down lets the wheels and background look like that. I'd like to make the shutter speed a little slower, but it is hard to get a steady picture with the car moving and slight movements in your hand from holding the camera.

I have a Canon 7D. I used my EFS 17-55 Lens for this shoot, though next time I plan to try my wide angle 10-20 as well.
