Hi Anneka,
I was initially very keen on this but the price was a bit of a shocker reallly. I know you've done your best and you dont set the pricing but £700+ plus for the upgrade is a little unrealistic. I shudder to think how much it would be outside of the group buy! |

Hi all, as we've had interest in the Pre March 09 group buy I thought I'd revive this one too.
I know this upgrade is expensive for some, but we've had many customers pay retail for this and all have been delighted with the results. If you are interested please feel free to add your name, if you're not interested then thanks for looking. |

Hi Anneka,
I could well be interested in this for my new E93 which should arrive mid september. I'm pretty competent with fitting things like this so would be happy to self fit, I was just curious why it would need coding? Surley you just intercept the speaker wire to the amp and change the speakers? If the coding is a must could you give a price for just doing the coding please, also if you could twist the arm of Sytner Nottingham to start participating in these deals it would be great Many thanks Che *I've ordered the Pro Nav (option 609) if this makes any difference? |

Got these fitting instructions from the BMW dealer which clearly says that no recoding is needed. I thought recoding/programming was needed on a post 3/09 car (mines 2011)?

Have to admit I haven't had mine coded and it still sounds much better than stock, there is an option in NCS expert to enable the alpine hifi so maybe there is something that can be changed, I'd heard it just changed the EQ curve though to match the new setup, I fiddled with the treble and bass options and have got it sounding good which would backup the EQ change maybe?

I have printed instructions from when this thread was started which insists both coding and programming are required, the instructions have since been updated to include the X1, and c+p is no longer stated as a requirement.
Experience tells us that c+p is required, until we get a booking for this installation and I can be absolutely sure, I will be holding off a group buy. |
