get it wrapped with vinyl. it would be the cheaper route and much easier, i mean unless you find someone to trade ya

There are two types of black trim

Piano black

and

Diamond black (which I have)

Both are very expensive and rare to find at ALL used. Go to www.getbmwparts.com and you will find all the trims for sale NEW there...

but if thats too expensive just have a local tint/vinyl shop have them wrap it for under $200

DIY.... I never wrapped anything before but I followed the guides on E90 post and my trim wrap came out awesome. Its not hard just requires some patience...well worth it in the end.
