I used to launch in 2nd gear in my honda only when i was on street tires... in the 335 its good to do a 2nd gear burn on in the box just to really get the tires spinning and heated up (if your on drag radials)

He might of read my dragtimes comment where I stated I got my best time starting in M2 (second gear). I ran my 13.03 @ 107.7 starting in M2, and I was only on 91 Octane on the older v1.2 PROcede. On some tracks, you spin too much starting in M1. If you're lucky enough to be able to run at a sticky track like ATCO, starting in M1 is a no brainer. Terry, all you need to do when you go into DS mode is click the paddle up one and you start in M2 not M1 |

Full tank of gas( Flying hook 93 octane) to help with traction,I weight 185 lbs.
Replaced RFT's with Yokohama Advan Neova, the car is equipped with PROcede. Launched in 2nd gear in full DS auto mode RPM around 1800,the ZF did all the shifting, glued a piece of especially shaped cork on the gas pedal floor to prevent kick down when leaving the line in 2nd gear. |
