BMS DP!

Hey everyone I'm new to this forum and I have a BMS DP on the way. I read somewhere that it will throw a code when installed by itself, is this true??? If so what do you all recommend?

I hope you bought a tune before that DP...JB Stage 2 will remove the code.

CAN tool isnt going to solve anything, youre still going to drive around with a check engine light. Might as well just get the jb4, not have to deal with a cel.

Oh and people might disagree, but stock tuning is for stock parts, car doesnt run smooth with dp on stock tune, so just get the jb4!

1) yes a can tool does solve the CEL. the jb4 stage2 tool is basically just built in can tool on top of stage1.

2) I'm running just a dp removed my jb4 and the car runs smoother without the jb4 since the jb caused hiccups which i hated.

3) don't talk unless you know what your talking about

Did you ever try putting bogfix to 0? My car hiccuped too but when I put bogfix to 0 it was gone.

Most of these guys aren't aware of the settings and firmware versions. Some of them don't even know about the features, cold oil protection, overboost/run lean safety, etc. The other day I ran in to a customer who still had the original 8/16 settings/firmware loaded and was complaining about bugs that were fixed months ago. If they'd just read the Stage2 thread with the firmware/settings on BMS' site they'd get a lot more info and assistance.

Yep if people would directly ask Terry, we wouldn't have so many threads of people complaining over this and that.
