Is there a simple way to adjust the idle on the n55? Mine is idling @ just under 800 rpm which is too high for a 6at. Used to idle @600 but dealer performed adaptations due to surging rough idle.

idle adjustment?
N55
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Im sick about it. Engine sounds wrong, like it's barely running. knocking or loud ticking from around the pass side of the engine probalbly a lifter. A bad popping or blub blub sound from the charge pipe are. 12 kilometers on the odometer. Idles between 500 and 600 RPM. barely alive. push the clutch and the rpm picks up a little, ya that manual transmission is loading it down. So i take it for a drive. 50km's later the shifter is shaking car is vibrating at idle. Had it hauled to my residence 450 km's from the dealer after delivery. I am sending it back. wish me luck. So the shop foreman agrees that there is an abnormality. Gives me two choices. " we can start taking it apart and hope to find the problem or you can put some miles on it beacuse they need time to adapt". So I drove it home 500 kilometers from the dealer. Problems persist. Can you elaborate on the adaptation procedure? 2011 335i e90 exec pckg-sport pckg Nav 6Mt RWD Factory order |
