H&R Sports, whats up man...

So I got my springs, they look great btw, but my dilemna is the price to have them put on. From what I've read on the forum, it looks like people are getting them put on in the $150-250 range, below are some price quotes thus far.

Dealership: $1050
Independent shop 1: $450
Independent shop 2: $400
///Matt: $Bargain, however not available till next month...

So am I dillusional, or are these labor prices outlandish?

drive down to LA, and kick it down there for a day or weekend or something. i believe dtm offers some very good labor rates.

elmaki, solicit your fellow (locally based) e90posters' help, see who bites. Installs are generally cheaper across the board around where you are versus where I am. GL.

Borrow a spring compressor tool from a friend. Springs are fairly easy to install.

apparently there is alot of work involved in putting any aftermarket suspension on with the E90, way more than my old G35. I don't think this is a DIY... I've been quoted about $250 from Status in Hermosa for the springs- great guys- speak to Rick. I wanted to do a rear sway and he told me they basically have to remove the sub frame - about 3 hours work and they've already done a few. Good luck and I hope that works out for you.

i didn't look at it- I just took the word of my installer who said it was way more work than the G35 meaning more $$. I'm not a DIY guy for this kind of stuff...If you think it's doable, by all means do it, but safety first at all times.

Keep shopping around, even if it's 250 it's not bad at all...

I've done a few E46s and 3 E9X over here, i charge 200 bucks...

If it's a race shop make sure they did not include a price of an alignment in the quote.
