17" style 162's?

328xi 6MT/ZSP is on order. I don't like the style 159 rims it comes with. I favor style 162's. But, I'd really rather stick with 17x8 size and the all-season tires the car comes with to avoid the winter swapping. AFAIK, BMW does not make the 162 in 17x8 size, if I Am wrong, please correct me since I would rather go that route over replicas.

I did find this though;
www.finishlinewheels.com Style 162 7x8

What do you think? Anyone have these even in a different size?

Is the difference between factory and replicas all that noticable?

Will having TPMS be a problem if I go replica?

There are alot of people who pull BMW 162's off shortly after buying their car. Check out the wheel market place on this site. Straight off a car go for about $1500 with RFT. More mileage a little less

I left a message at finishline wheels (they don't answer the phones) a few days ago to ask a few questions before I ordered and they never got back to me. I guess they don't want my money. Anyway, I've been leaning towards getting a set of stock 18" 162 take offs as they fill out the arches much better. Guess I can't avoid playing the winter swap game again and again and ...

I also emailed Morr to see if they will make a 17" 162, have not heard back yet, but I'd doubt they do it since the demand for that would probably be pretty low.

Get this, my dealer quoted me $250 to dismount the 4 stock rims from stock tires and mount and balance the new rims to the stock tires. is this that high because they are run flats? have TPMS? both?

WOW! Man are they trying to rip you off. The most those bastards should be charging is $75 to to this. Go elsewhere. Anyone can change tires you don't have to go and pay top dollar per hour at BMW. Also Morr does not even make these in 18" let alone 17". I already asked. Do what was suggested earlier and get yourself a set of 162 pulls. That's what I did. Good luck.

You know, I thought it was a rip too, but then I got quotes from a few other tire shops and they were all coming in around $150, which I still think is too high, but the big problem is that they will not take repsonsiblity for the Tire pressure monitors. Each corner is $50, and from what they have been telling me; if you breathe on them the wrong way, they break. at least I know the dealer will stand behind them if they break them, they will be replaced at no additional cost.
