Less than a liter of diff fluid?

I am at my mechanics and we just drained the old diff fluid. We put in just under a liter of new fluid and its already leaking out of the drain hole. I thought these cars take almost 2 liters? We sucked out the old one pretty good. Is this normal?

Called BMW dealer and they said it should take only about 1 liter, even though they sold me 2 liters....crooks...im gonna try to return a liter lol

1liter for N52 and 1.2liter for N54 if I remember correctly.

Correct. It's hard to get all 1.2 out when draining. Really need to have a thin bendable extraction tube.

Dealership didn't screw you but that diff oil is expensive.
