AA, RD Sport, etc buy hardware/software from Chip Torque or Haltech and then connect and tune them for the 335. Vishnu buys hardware/software from Chip Torque or Haltech and then goes around telling his customers he designed the hardware/software himself.
Once again, you're wrong.

Technically speaking... Vishnu developed BOTH the XEDE and the PROcede for the 335, RDSport and AA took the Xede idea and ran with it...literally... on the exact same platform that shiv originally developed.

Then Vishnu decided to make a better unit... so the PROcede was born.
shiv doesnt buy haltech units... they partnered with the hardware manufactoring company to make a box for the 335's specific needs, and it differs greatly from an off the shelf haltech unit as far as its feature set goes... an off the shelf haltech will not work on the 335

Thats my take on it anyways... its probably more acuarate than Terry's, but still just an educated guess

I'd have to disagree. Vishnu is small time tuner that bought the Xede & Interceptor hardware/software from Chip Torque & Haltech. They were around before he started reselling them and will be around long after he stops.

He made the harness to connect it to a 335, used the manufactures software to tune the device, placed his sticker on the box, and resold them. Now he buys enough of the Haltech box that he can request software revisions from them.

Actually what he is doing is perfectly normal for tuners and I don't have a problem with it. What I don't like is that he thinks he can "fake it until he makes it" and blur the lines between Haltech and himself to make his shop seem a lot larger than it is. Fortunately it's easy to read between the lines when your company website tells customers to ship ECUs directly to your small condo.

Shiv: My compliments for rising above the bait.

I'll talk to the principals of the respective companies before I make a decision. My geography (CA) makes that especially easy in one case.

thanks to those of you who spent the time and energy to answer my questions.

I'm just going to stay out of the petty bickering and thread hijacking.

Terry is bored again he does not know the correct value of a resistor so he starts trolling around. Very unprofessional. Terry, go and play with your kid.

How'd your wife talk you into that one. Bet she made it seem like it was your idea.

I don't know why you try to bash Shiv. He does a good job and makes good business. If your knowledge and experience is that excellent beat him with a better product. Otherwise, respect him.

Haha, I've got a 29 year old, a 27 year old and and 11 year old (not to mention two grandchildren). Kids have a habit of becoming individuals.

I was just giving you a hard time about it being your wife's idea. I didn't plan any of my kids, but wouldn't give any of 'em back. As immature as I am now, I'm still a much better person than I was pre-1977, and I credit my kids for helping me to grow up.

Oh, BTW, when you watch your kid, don't let your wife or any other female tell you that you're baby-sitting. Remind them that you're the father and that you're parenting (nurturing your child).
