Automatic seat belt hand me thing
Sometimes my automatic seat belt thing does not work and then if i lock and open door again with key it will
Is this common and would it be covered under erxtended warranty? |

It should be covered by BMW comprehensive insured warranty as they claim that they only don't cover things which are not mechanical or electrical and the seatbelt butler is both.
Do you have comfort access? If yes, it may be a software bug as mine only worked the second time, i.e. switch engine on, doesn't work, open and shut door then it does. Or, press start button to get accessory power on and then press it again to start the engine, then it would work. It happened to me after a software upgrade - when they were making the engine rev higher at tickover to get round the jerky first gear. After they fixed the seatbelt butler, the gearbox work around was no longer present. |

Mine comes on as soon as the door closes or everytime the door has been open and closed it woll come on
