335d Actuators
I think mine may be shot, jumped into the car today and went to overtake someone on the dual carriage way, and it had absolutely zero go about it at all. Flat as a pancake all the way through the rev range.
Did a couple of rolling starts so to speak where I loaded the car up but didn't give it enough boot for it to kick down, again dead as a door nail. Book it in on Monday, hopefully warranty will cover it. |

What year/mileage are you? Seems a lot of the early 335d suffered with actuators and vac hose issues |

I had a similar problem a while ago and ended up taking it to a garage where (I presumed replaced it) as the lower revs there was no power. Once it hit 3k and the bigger turbo kicked in it flew. I was told when I rang BMW up that you cant buy the actuator on its own (maybe BS) and they just replace the turbo as it comes as a complete unit
My car is feeling a little sluggish in the lower revs and think the actuator mya be on its way out or one of the hoses are frayed/leaking. Its going in for a brake fluid change end of the month and will ask them to investigate |

Ive also got BMW extended warranty but with a £250 excess so I would prefer to take it to BMW if its a big job (way I see it if I can get it sorted for under £250 Ill do it myself)
But do keep this thread updates as to what happens Do you have a code reader? just wondering if anything would be shown up as a code? |
