Any body know how to remove the engine cover on E90?

Recently my E90 330i produces some stupid sound under the hood when I drive it, I believe that it is from the engine cover. I want to take it out and reinstall in back to it. Anyone know how to do this? Thanks and appreciated.

unfortunately you need a motor lift to remove the entire engine/transmission. once theya re removed from the car, unscrew the bolt on the complete opposite side. lift up. then reinstall engine/transmission

If you're referring to the plastic cover, it just pops up (it's held down by plugs) but in order to get that off you'll need to remove a few things. Look at this thread to help you remove it

The engine cover bolts to a sub carrier that snaps onto the valve cover using rubber grommets. You can pull off the engine cover by lifting it off the valve cover, but that is not the proper way to do it; getting the rubber grommets to properly seat in the proper locaton proves difficult. To properly remove the engine cover, you unscrew the hold down bolts and the cover come right off. Like previously posted, you need to first remove the cabin air filter upper and lower covers.
