E90 exhaust fit on a E92?

I know the e90 exhaust is shorter, but by how much, and also were is it shorter?
I ordered an exhaust system without realising I ordered it for a e90 and I have a e92.
Just curious if I will have to modify it to fit and where.

Thanks for everyone's help.

I used an E92 AE exhaust on my E90. It's 1/2 inch to an inch longer (I went the opposite direction as you) at the tips (hangers match up perfectly). I personally like the way it fits on my E90 better because on the E92 you couldn't see the engraving on the sides of the tips.

However, since you will be going shorter than "normal" I'm not sure you will like the fitment. Of course, this has a lot to do with what type of exhaust you purchased and what their "normal" fitment is.

I have put a E90 exhaust on an E92 before and for some reason it fits nicely. I had to modify the E92 exhaust to fit on my E90 properly tho.

I bought a HKS exhaust for a E90 but i have a E92, wondering if i have to modify it.
Or will it look OK being an inch to 1/2 inch short.

Thanks for the replies.

Short answer is, it should bolt up just fine. It will come down to personal preference of wether you like the placement of the tips or not (you may need to extend them).

I am about to purchase a set of AE for e90.... I'm assuming it should fit fine. Anyone want to chime in an say yes?
What is the worst case scene? just new tips right? Mid pipes - mufflers should be no biggie?

Appreciated!
