Help: RMFD WATER PUMP?

Hello,

I'm going to replace the water pump on e90. The part from dealer is listed as RMFD. I know the alternator is RMFD.
Should the water pump be sold as new? Where can I get a new pump?

The pumps sold by Tischer are new manufactured units. There is no core charge for the water pump, so there is no source of units to be remanufactured.

Many thanks for reply. But I still didn't find it listed as new.

- Went to http://getbmwparts.com/ and chose "shop by part #".
- Redirected to http://www.trademotion.com/parts/?ac...2&make=&model=
- Typed in 11517586925 and Part Name is RMFD WATER PUMP.

Is RMFD (ReManuFacturereD) a new unit?

I don't know, but when you browse through RealOEM lots of these types of parts are all listed as RMFD. Water pumps, alternators, transmissions, etc. I wouldn't worry about it.
