Help with buying a Used 2007 335i BMW
Hi,
I am in the market to buy a used 335i. I owned a 330 in the past and leased a 2009 335i that is coming to an end. I would like to pay cash for a 2007 and have some general questions. 1. What mileage range should I consider, max number before they start having issues. 2. When having a car pre-inspected, what items should I have them play particular attention to. As in what items go bad on these cars are are exp to replace. 3. General tips and any other info I should be aware of before making a purchase. This would be mu first used BMW purchase and want to make sure I avoid the common mistakes. Thanks DW |

I wouldn't really say there should be a set bracket of mileage that you should be looking at as things that can go wrong can go at any time and often give no signs of failure until they ultimately fail completely. Lower mileage the better but don't be put off my high milers if they have service history and also receipts of parts known to fail that have been replaced.

I"m in the same boat. Been looking for a 335i. I found an 07 with 60K with all the options I want for 22K (socal). The seller has all service paper work from the dealer and extended warranty to March 2013. He said that the dealer, under warranty, replaced the factory turbo spools with updated hardware, fuel pump, and water pump last year. I'm not sure if it failed on him but I'm assuming he had it done because of preventive maintenance. He just had the 60K service done last week. I'm taking a look at it tomorrow. Looks to be in great condition though. Thoughts?

Check out the burger tuning JB and Procede install instructions then closely examine the engine compartment for signs that a tune was added at some point.
