Shelly BMW oil change special

Found a coupon for an oil change + inspection + car wash + alignment check at Shelly BMW for 80 bucks. I scheduled my car for tomorrow, and requested a loaner as well. Thought I'd pass around the special for the OC locals who might be interested! Seems like a pretty good deal to me, considering my car is overdue for an oil change AND car wash!

They actually don't reset the switch. The SA made that clear. Also, me being a newbie, (they) didn't offer a loaner but did give me a complimentary rental due to the service dept having a last minute meeting which required more than an hours time to work on the car. Bottom line I had a good experience, quick and friendly service was all I was looking for.

Great deal, thanks! My offices are right there at the 5 and 91, I'll take in during lunch before it expires for sure.

Just got the car and I'm afraid the Caddy dealer I bought it from put some junk oil in it. I figure it can't hurt to make sure the right stuff is in there.

Yeah, I mean, for the price you cant go wrong. You get an oil change, and a car wash. They did a great job on both. I was hoping that they would tell me a little bit more about what my car might need in terms of servicing (I'm at 60k), but I wasnt given or told anything other than my front brake pads are wearing a little low.

The dealer just contacted me conducting a customer service survey. I was able to speak to someone about sending me my Action Plan Report. Another + in my book! Some of the recommended items arent going to be hazardous to my car anytime soon, but others I'll probably look to take care of including: fuel injection cleaning, power steering flush, and replacing oil filter and valve cover gaskets.

Let me know how your visits turn out if you do decide to go!

the price is pretty good but I personally avoid shelly bmw like the plague. Since you have not washed your car in a while I bet shelly bmw wont wash it properly and leave your car with scratches and swirls.

What went wrong with them if you dont mind telling? The car wash came out fine...no swirls or scratches. Some water spots on my rr view mirrors, but that's about it. I was happy with the wash. Maybe this place is just hit or miss?

I had my oil change under warranty 6k ago, but my maintenance ran out, should I do it? Will they reset the oil indicator even though it's not on? My service indicator is on when I turn on the car, are they going to charge me $100 extra if I bring it in?

The SA that I spoke to, told me that they dont reset your service indicator, and I'm assuming you will have to pay them if you decide to do it. I dont believe it's hard to do though.

Although BMW claims that you can drive 10-15k miles without an oil change, I would, and plan on, continuing my oil changes every 5-6k miles. Although I do drive a bit aggressively, so a milder driver I would assume wouldnt have to change their oil as frequently.
