I got the BG44K from kwick fit for £20. Done 70 miles driving around quite hard to see if the problem came back and nothing

Thanks for the code reading offer, I might have to take you up on it.
I hope it is cured. But any problems, give me a shout. At least I can read the code for you, and we will take it from there.

All the best mate.

It starts up instantly every time but it could still be that I suppose.

Also yesterday night when I went out it started feeling like it was down on power. As if there was less boost. A bit like the wheels spinning ortraction control was coming on but that was not it. Also there is a left hand corner coming off a roundabout followed by a straight where it allways does it in 2nd. Every time. It seemed to be running a bit hotter than usual although the ambient temp was up about 10 degrees to recently.

That would point to the fuel pump a bit more?

Nick if it is Fuel pump, you cannot do much about it, except using good fuel, and let it develop.
Stick to shell or BP only, and see how it goes.
From my previous experience, my car started becoming hesitant in 2-3 gear, when accelerating hard. Kwik Fit checked it with code reader and said nothing wrong (I was standing beside them and looking at the code reader).

Tried BG44K, which helped a bit but not completely. Took it to kwik fit again, and they changed all the plugs. Still no avail, and later I changed the plug coils. Still no avail. 3 months later, my fuel pump died.
The only thing which I can blame, was Asda Fuel. Since then always used BP and couple of times Shell.

Keep a close eye on it. If it goes to limp mode, we will get the code.

Im sure that i read they are an easy job to do yourself, literally just pull off once you have got access to the area.

Although, im slightly confused if they need coding / hooking up to a computer.

This is a brilliant choice of words

Apparently it is an easy job and needs no coding. I got all 6 coils and plugs changed for £460 so it should not be alot for 1 coil. Probably £40?
