Ive had some on a work vehicle etc but never had to buy them and always regarded them as a budget tyre as Id not heard much about them, not like you hear of the mainstream brands, i found them ok, but having said that it was a works vehicle so it didnt get any driving abuse to put them to the test when I seen this thread and someone recommended them I thought they would be cheaper than they actually are.

I presume the following sizes

225/40/19 - vreds - £151.88 each
255/35/19 - vreds - £173.55 each

including del from camskill - £662.72

Then just got to find someone to fit

I personally find my tyres expesnive for what I want and camskill majourity of the times is cheaper for me. I just have problems trying to get someone to fit them as most fitters around me want £10-£15 per corner if I supply tyres myself

They are further down the page but they dont have any in stock. I found on that site is if they dont have any in stock they list them further down the page

http://www.camskill.co.uk/m55b0s468p...R19_88Y_XL_TL_

http://www.camskill.co.uk/m55b0s1132...R19_91Y_XL_TL_

225/35/19 - £167.28
255/30/19 - £227.70

total = £801.92 so in this case works out more expensive and my tyres is better

That's a pretty standard charge - but takes the edge off the savings, doesn't it? That's why I like Event Tyres - the price includes fitting and their fitters are genuinely good, very alloy friendly.

I used MyTyres a few months back for my winter tyres and while it was OK, I still had to ring the garage every day for a week to find out whether the tyres were there, and then make a special trip to get them fitted. All for the sake of £10 or £20 a corner IIRC.

Next time I'll stick with Event.

Event sound good, I will strongly consider using them once I get my rims.
Thanks for the heads up.
