I've just made a profit on a car!!

My ST3 went to the dealer today. They had sold it to one of their regular traders and I was happy to be without a car whilst awaiting delivery of my 335d in September. I shall commute to Scotland by train for the next four weeks, then I am taking 4 weeks holiday in August.

I paid a fraction over £15,700 for it 7 weeks ago and sold it today for £16K, and that was to the trade. I might have made even more if I had sold privately! So, bottom line I am £300 or so up, bearing in mind I would still have been paying insurance and petrol regardless!

This has never happened before and will probably never happen ever again. Certainly not with a Beemer anyway!

Insurance company refused to hold my policy in abeyance for two months so had to cancel that and get a refund!

Roll on 1 Sept!

but i suppose having to drive round in a FOCUS you would need some sort of compo
