Version 26

As part of my alarm fiasco they installed what they called Version 26.01.01 (26.02.02 is now avaialble according to the shop forman). Before I left I ran through all the features and it apppears that other than few cosmetic changes the entire update is just CORRECTIONS. Everything seems to work just the way it did with Version 25.02. All the alarm functions except for the motion sensors now work and so does the CA door lock/unlock features.

The one thing I did notice is that NOTHING was lost from Version 25.02 setup. When I checked all the audio, lighting, lock info. It was all the same as it was prior to the V26.01.01 install except fo the radio stations (they all had to be re-programmed.

So now after 3 days trying to install the alarm system I have to GO BACK AGAIN for a 4th visit. I was told by the SA that BMW was going to re-imburse me for the alarm system after they got it working correctly (will it ever work correctly - he asks ?). Something for all my inconvenience ..... and gas back and forth to the dealership !!

Sorry to hear but what are the few cosmetic changes as compared to 25.02?

Looks like just a few colors. Nothing I can really identify without having both versions operational at the same time.

Such a shame. Seems like 25 -> 26 would bring all kinds of fun (and maybe a little common sense). Just a tease.
