Same problem...think my remap has been wiped!
My car went into BMW Bodyshop last week, to have my 2 rear wheels replaced under insurance as they had both cracked.
I got it back and have driven back up to work but it doesent seem the same, when I had it remapped there was a real difference, loads more pull but now it just seems as it was before! Only problem I have, is that my insurance company have told me since I had it remapped they wont insure me so I am in te process of changing insurance companies. So, could BMW have wiped the remap when it went in to have bodywork and wheel alignment done? I dont even know why they would need to plug it into the computer? Any advice/experience much appreciated Thanks, Alex

That sounds very unlikely to me. They would have to specifically reflash the ecu. Unless it was on some really old bversion and they thought it needed updating or something. Although they probably would have told you.
If you are not trying to keep it a secret from anyone just ring them and ask. I had a similar thought last week when I took my car to a garage but I think I just started getting paranoid. |
