No, they never leaked. One thing I recall about the install is there is a small bracket bolted to the head with an M6 (maybe M4) bolt which supports a line. It has a large torx head on it and can make it difficult to get the inner pipe in exact position. At the very top of the picture you can see where it rubbed on my first install attempt. I replaced the bolt with a traditional style hex head which is much lower profile so it would clear easier. I'm going from memory and it has been a long time but recall this was key to an easy install.
