BMW E90, central locking button issue

Since I have bought my 2006 BMW E90 320d Mpsort, the interior central locking switch doesn’t seem to work.* All the other functions of that switch work (Hazzard Lights, and turning the traction on and off)

The previous owner did replace the switch, however this did not resolve the problem.

Wanted to ask if anyone as experience this problem? Is it a case of a fuse, or a problem with the wiring or control unit?? This may be a pricy fix??
