BMW claims OEM Style 359M's are forged?

To my understanding, the OEM Style 359M's are cast wheels. I selected to view more info on bmwusa.com on the "competition package" while optioning out an M3, and it states "Y Spoke (Style 359M) bright aluminum finish forged M light alloy wheels."

So this leads me to ask: Are these wheels in fact forged, or are they cast?

FOrged. Went to parts and looked it up. It clearly states Forged. Possibly a load of bs though:P I know the 220s are forged.

It does say forged in the description, but I've always seen on this forum that it's cast. Still confused about it...

More importantly, what's their weight?

They're not fully forged. They are flow-formed (i.e., the barrels are roll forged).

I think they are around 26 lb for the front and 28 lb for the rear, so definitely a bit on the heavy side. They look amazing though.

+1 very strong, but definitely not lightweight.
