My Airbag sensor appear
Harlo,
All member, i have been driving my 320i E90 for 2 years, just out of sudden the sign of airbag appear to my dashboard. Is there any way to get this off, such like reset. I do not wanted to spend money on the BMW workshop to get rid of it. Any solution. |

If you have been driving for 2 years maybe you fell asleep behind the wheel and hit something, might be worthwhile checking the front bumper
On a more serious note rather than coding the light off it might be better to actually get it checked.

Airbag light comming on E39 and E46 were related to the seat pressure sensor going open circuit. Now that the E90's are getting on, this could be the same now.

vgr02 is absolutely correct. There are actually SRS emulators (to make the car think seat is occupied) that help get this code off.
Airbag lights should NOT come on out of the blue, UNLESS: - Your battery has drained, been replaced or was unplugged - You unplugged one of your seats or the fuse blew If neither of these have occured recently, it might be worthwhile having the problem checked by the dealer. It's better to be safe than sorry. MrTanz and I can clear airbag lights, but it is not recommended to do unless you have had one of the events I describe above. |
