USB cable

Chaps

Has anyone installed the USB cable for your tune (proceed or JB4) through the firewall into the glove box.

I just installed the JB4 a couple of weeks ago and left the usb cable in the box. I have been thinking about tweeking some of the settings and thought 'ah shit this is going to be a pain to remove everything everytime I want to hook it up' therefore I have been doing a little research on installing the usb cable through the firewall and it seems a little tricky.

The main issue seems to be that there is 2 holes on the firewall and one has a fan in it which is easily broken.

So my question has anyone installed the USB cable through and into the glove box? and if so did you ahve any troubles?

I personally left the cable hang out of the ECU box, so I can easily pop the hood and plug in a serial to USB cable into my laptop. Not sure about putting through the firewall.

I run it into the cabin when I need to via the door jamb....... Doesn't pinch the cable, and I also use a USB extension cable so you can have the laptop on your laptop.....

just bring it through the glove box it only takes like 5 min and it is a lot cleaner!

I was hesitant at first and when I finally did it - i didn't realise how easy it was!
