Hello people,

I have bought a 2010 BMW 335d couple months ago. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for what kind of exhaust i can get for a my diesel bimmer? I'm looking for a low tone rumble exhaust. I would appreciate if you guys helped me.

It looks like you are located in the UK. You are lucky owner since you do not have the urea injection system to contend with! Look into the Eisenmann exhaust system for the 335d. I think it sounds the best on the diesel.

12hp at 5980 rpm?? my rev limiter is below that.

Is there that much difference between the 335i and 335d rear muffler section? i was looking at a 335i on a rack at my local independent bmw shop, that is also a dinan dealer, looked very similar as far as the rear muffler went. The shop is a dinan dealer, said they'd never done it but yeah, it looked very similar and possible.

When I removed my exhaust there was a stock e92 exhaust on the floor that I compared it against and the mufflers look identical as far as I could tell. As for the exhaust run from the downpipes back, they are different. The 335i is a 2 pipe system the entire run vs the d's single pipe system up until the secondary cat at which point it then branches to 2 pipes.

I'm sure that 12 HP at 5980 RPM pertains to the 335i and not the 335d.

True dat! Replacing mufflers will do little for the sound.

I had my pipe and mufflers off after the secondary cat (seen in pic above), started the car and it was amazing how quiet the exhaust sound was still. Short of removing all cats on a US car and the dpf there isn't a whole lot that can be done about it. Despite that, I still think there is some benefit to installing a less restrictive system which is what I did.
