I have found the H&R cup kit for my car on eBay.de for £428 delivered. My question is how much import duty will i pay? Is it just the VAT @ 20% or will there be other charges?

Just spoke to HMRV and they told me I won't pay any import duty as it's in the EU! result

You can have another low % excise duty aswell. Your best off getting the seller to mark the item with as low a value as possible. Will affect the postal insurance mind. You will get a processing charge by the carrier £10-15 or 2% charge, which ever is bigger. Depends on carrier

Thanks RS, I forgot to mention in my first post, the item is in Germany and as such shouldn't have to pay any extra
I'm popping over to Hull this weekend, going to look at a car at Motor Depot for the missus, do you know what they are like?

I imported a set of BBS CK alloys, worth around £850 and didn't pay any duty on top of the locally added VAT.

I think so Mike, it was a little while ago now (around 4 years ago) - I got them from a company called Orange Tuning

Yes, really good - no issues at all - did get a little worried when only 3 wheels turned up, but the other one arrived the next day!
