What determines Fender Roll?

with all things held the same (i.e. lowered e92 on H&R sports, Koni Struts)

What determines fitment and if a fender roll may or may not be required?

Offset? or Width of the tire? (which i would figure it would be)

so i currently have rears with +32 10" width. slight rubbing.
looking to get +22 offset, 9.5" width.

in theory, the smaller width should be fine, even though the offset is more aggressive...right?

and just to be clear, is the +22 offset a DEEPER concave then the 32?

thanks for any help on this!

You are correct. In most cases the lower the offset the more concave. And with a 265 tire you should not rub. Just a fender roll will due.

I am running The M3 220s. The rear is et 23 and I have 265/30/19. I am on stock suspension and I rub slightly on dips with no roll. Getting fenders rolled and should be fine.

Width, offset, and tire all determine where it sits.
9.5" et22 will sit 4mm out more than 10" et32

Yeah, you'll be in worse shape with that new offset. You need to be around offset 30 on a 9.5 to be in the clear, or roll your fenders.

Also, tires will determine rubbing or not. I tried offset 23 on my pre lci e90 rear wheel and it rubbed even with fender rolled. Then I realized I got a square shoulder tire.

would the fender roll offer the 4mm extra to cover that extra poke then what my current setup is?

Yes, you can gain 5mm with a fender roller.
