Since you have a 325 you may or may not have the logic 7 sound system . If you have the HI FI system the connection to the amp is analog not fiberoptic. Its pretty easy to upgrade the audio if its the Hi Fi (non logic 7 ) . Read the following http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=641323 You are more likely to find answers to your electronic questions here. http://www.e90post.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=27 Last edited by ctuna; 03-05-2012 at 12:34 PM.. |

Here is some for bluetooth: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=122545
This shows the installation process: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=482939 What you will need is a TCU, antenna, and microphone. A TCU can be quite expensive. I got lucky and found one at a salvage yard for around $100. The rest can be ordered from the dealership quite inexpensively. Also, you will need your car coded after the installation. The coding can be done either by the dealer or you can find someone to do it for you. Here is the xenon thread: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=143927 What need is two OEM xenon housings, 2 OEM ballasts, and 2 ds1 xenon bulbs. All of those are pretty expensive. Again, I got lucky and found two xenon housings from craigslist for $280 and one housing had a ballast. I got some bulbs from someone who codes my car for around $75. So now i just need a ballast, which I should have by this week. The thread I posted for you shows what wiring needs to be done externally. However, I found that the wiring can be done internally by tapping the black that leads into the ballast to the brown wire that leads into the high beam bulbs. Once the headlights are installed you will need to have the car coded so it knows that xenons are running (the dealership will not do this for you). |
