I have a 2009 335ix coupe with a Dinan Stage I tune, which I think is a hugh improvement over stock, even though it may not be cost effective.

Just wanted to know if it is worth having an oil cooler added with the intention of getting Stage II tune. Is the extra kick worth the cost.

1. If your car was a lease then no it would not be worth
2. If you value your warranty and want less hassle from the dealer, rather than having to play Ninja, then yes its worth it

Simple peace of mind and worry free as long as you take you car for trouble to a Dinan authorized BMW dealer.

S2 is a substantial "extra kick" over S1. Going to S2 from S1 will only cost you the difference in cost between the two flashes. Adding the extra oil cooler is your only real big cost here and a choice frankly only you can make for yourself but if you have the finances I believe you will not regret the performance upgrade, not to mention the extra added safety measures the oil cooler bring in terms of engine longevity. A win/win all a round.

OP - I have a stock oil cooler that I removed to install my ER Sport oil cooler kit...make me an offer and you're on your way, although you may need to get the adapter plate for your oil filter housing (or even a new housing) in order to connect the oil lines. Not sure if the non-OC cars have plugs in the fittings or a totally different oil filter housing.

I my car has stage 2 along with a few other things and I must say my car blew a JB4 owners mind... Just saying
