My first time logging JB4 runs
Hey guys,
This is my first time logging runs with the JB4 and from what I've seen, I'm pretty sure I've added the correct things to look at in the logs... I was running map 5 on 93 BP fuel with the mods in my signature minus the meth for now. It seems to look ok, but it would be nice to get some opinions from the experts Here are some 2nd and 3rd gear runs... And here is a run I did right after those two runs, where I actually started from a stop and ran it all the way to the speed limiter... which I found out is 135mph I saved the 3rd and 4th gear portion... and it looks like the IAT was finally starting to climb a little, and is that timing drop in the middle of 4th I see?

That is a small timing drop yes. On the longer pulls that is common. It's pretty minor so I'd say that boost level is just about right. You could try enriching the A/F ratio a bit to see if it disappears. Also I like to log actual Throttle Blade position just to see how it is adjusting vs requested throttle.

You must have Sports Package on you're car then. I've hit 155mph. I beleive the 335i's with no sports package are limited to 135mph..

I'm no expert, but my IAT lowers slightly as I rev it through the RPM range (stock air box). I'll have to log mine sometime and post mine up too.

I would find hard to believe on the stock air box ... unless you have some massive FMIC or something? Because that plays a big part in the IAT's more than anything.

So how do you think my logs look? Could there be any improvements, before trying out the meth? And for the sport packages... I think I've read that there are two different levels of the sport package on the xi cars. Because my car came with paddle shifters, the sport seats and 18" wheels, but it doesn't have the oil cooler or the 155 speed limiter So I may be wanting that BMS de-limiter soon... because it easily gets to 135mph really quick now!

Logs look okay.. You have that one minor timing drop-out on the longer pull but all looks good. Have you tried other maps?
We got a new batch of WW kits and I think one has your name on it LOL Mike |

But it seems to be running great now! BTW... I already bought my ww meth kit from you, along with half of my other mods! I just installed the ww meth kit the other day... I think you might like the location! http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=656391

For Xi's to get the oil cooler and the 155mph speed limit you needed to have both the 'sport package' and the 'summer tire' option.
If you didn't get the summer tire option you don't get the oil cooler or the 155mph limit. RWD 335i's got both the 155 limit and oil cooler though as summer tires (the run flat RE050's) are included with the sport package automatically.

I'm a tuner newbie, so I may have been reading my graph wrong. I'll post one up on my own thread and not whore a fellow tuner's thread and get assistance from ya'll.

Nope, Ive never tried to run the meth yet... I guess the good IAT's were due to the Stett CAI, Helix FMIC and the temps were in the 40's.
I can't wait to try out the meth though, maybe my IAT's will actually drop a little bit when it kicks in
