hello everyone need a suggestion
so...im about to be a father, and looking to sell my GT-R and get a e90 M3, anyone wanna talk me out of it? and have a better suggestion? please let me know
reason 1. I miss BMW too much, Nissan is CRAP(Nonetheless its a super fast car and I will miss the accelration) reason 2. Everyday Driveability is good on the M3 reason 3. It has backseats that will actually be useable. reason 4. I miss stick shift too much. Alternative options Im looking at e92 m3 (looks too similar to my old e92 335i though) e93 m3(wondering how much ill get to get the top down in NY) M5 (my grl has a 535i so i dont know if its worth it) 996 911 Turbo (wish i can get the 997 but cannot afford it) btw, i will keep my acura RDX for work commuting purposes and snow duties.

This gives a little insight... I think my NEXT car will be a GT-R... but I hope I can deal with the cheap interior... I have a buddy who sold his e90 335i for a Subaru WRX STI and regretted it because the interior was despicable next to the BMW's... Then again, I feel I would regret never owning a GT-R in my lifetime...
And another video... I don't really agree with their assessment, but just another opinion:

Why do you need to get rid of the car? You have 2 other cars to put the child in.
Is it financial reasons or are you just being a bit fickle? I have a tendency to get tired of cars quickly as well, so I totally understand. M3 is a nice car no doubt. Really depends on your reasons and what you're looking for in your next car. You may also want to consider a CTS-V. Plenty fast and has 4 doors. |

It's a fianancial burden, and honestly aside from performance the quality and the comfort level you get with the car just doesn't do it for me, I don't NEEd a family car hence why I Listed the 911 turbo as one of my choice but it would be nice to use the m3 to take a cruise with the baby and the wife and also use it to go get diapers... Recently I've been driving my wife's 535 and I just remembered how much nicer the bimmer was.
If I had the money id keep it, but I won't be able to save enough for it to make sense especially when brake jobs cost 8grand, and tires cost 2 grand

The e90 production is finished so you'd have to pick either a leftover e90 at a dealer lot or find a used one. e92 production continues and it seems there will be one more (2013) production year.
The 996 is a beautiful car but you have to factor in maintenance cost and the fact that's its rather outdated now, I'd still get it for brute force though. Interior not comparable with any of your other choices. GL! |

Sej few suggestions:
1) I'm moving back into Queens, so let me drive the GT-R before you dump it... 2) e90M is best financial choice. Youd be able to save plenty compared to the GT-R and Porsche (although I love the Porsche, its not very "baby friendly" as far as trunk space goes). Not to mention quality and more practical the e90M is compared to your other choices. 3) I'm moving back into Queens, so let me drive the GT-R before you dump it...

Since you have an F10 535i I'd go for an E60 M5, you can get one for the same price as an e90M and it will be a bit closer in power to the GTR. Plus that v10 exhaust is intoxicating.
