I know I've asked this question before but I just cant decide on what wheel finish I should buy.

I have an 06 330i Sapphire metallic black with the chrome trim all around the car.

I really like the black wheels so I really want those but I just wanna see what you guys think will match with the chrome trimming/ paint the best.

Matte black, gloss black, hyperblack, hypersilver, or Gunmetal?

I could use the opinions

I had the same dilemma. I didn't want to "black out" my car because I liked the chrome trim and kidney grilles. So I felt that matte or gloss black rims would look out of place. Silver is a bit too much contrast against black for my taste. So that left gunmetal or hyperblack.

I chose hyperblack because it does have a chrome look to it when clean.

I really like the hyper black, but feel they look too "chromy" sometimes.. I guess it depends on the lighting.. cant say I ever saw them in person.

I think if you took the hyperblack VMRs and then painted the inner spokes, and barrel black to match the "machined face with black inserts" or "diamond cut black" look, they would be the best looking wheels out.

Other than those 2, gunmetal wheels look really good on a black car.

...I have a black E90 and am in kind of the same boat.

Yeah I was thinking hyper black VMRs. I really like the matte black but it won't match and I don't want that.

I'm deciding between gunmetal and hyperblack.

There's a guy on Craigslist selling gunmetal VMR V710s I believe for $700 bucks, so if I go that route it'll be a little cheaper. Your e90 looks Amazing though with those hyper blacks

WOW, matte gunmetal IS the color I was looking for!

I always think gunmetal looks good on black BUT the darker the gunmetal, the better. That matte gunmetal almost looks like the perfect shading and the right amount of contrast to the black!
