2007 E90 320i Sound System
Not impressed with the stock sound system on my 320i non iDrive. Not sure what system it is but cant pump up the volume.
Any good Car BMW specialist shop in Melbourne? Since I dont have the GPS i was going to buy the new garmin unit for around 350 bucks but now thinking different DyNavin Andrioid unit. http://www.dynavin.com/products/product_dnv_e9xm.php Any one has experience on this? or should i just add amp and upgrade speakers and stick to to trusted Garmin for navi |

Try SouthernBM in morabbin.
You might want to look at the Alpine hifi retrofit as an upgrade option. A number of forum members have done this I believe so they can chime in on the system. |

A lot of mix feeling on the dynavin unit, go to E46fanatics as they have a huge thread on it.
The E46 unit is the same as the E9X (apart from the physical design). There are a few reviews on here as well. I would say go for the alpine hi fi retrofit if you want to keep it OEM. |

I have the Dynavin Android in my E46. I wouldn't recommend it. I never really had any issues with it but it's kinda crap and makes your nice BMW feel really cheap.
The Bluetooth is useless as people can't hear you properly and the iPod and DVD interfaces aren't designed well at all. |

I personally think the android dynavin looks to be a very good unit (on paper)
You will almost cetainly need to upgrade the speakers If you like your bass, upgrade your midbass If you like it load, upgrade the amp You wont necessarily need a BMW specialist, but it wont hurt to take it to someone with BMW experience (especially if you have parking sensors) |

Do you have the address and web site for Freeway in Malvern?
I called BMW if they have Alpine Upgarde Kit and they dont know nothing about it? Better to buy local or overseas? Where did you buy from? |

Great thanks guys.
Silverzesus i went to freeway car audio and they can upgrade speakers but they have never done alpine upgrade before. By the sound of it i think bmw dealer has to code it before it actually works. I was thinking i should do the alpine upgrade kit myself if possible and get the dealer to code it? |

If your car is pre-LCI then it doesn't need coding, just plug and play (and run the harness from the front of the car to the boot for the amp install).
If your car is LCI then yes you will need coding from the dealer. |
