Post Giving my pre-lci 325d a facelift

Hi guys, I am about to start a major upgrade process on my car and tought I`d share it with you and maby get som feedback.

This is what I`m fitting

LCI performance front bumper
LCI hood
LCI Xenons
Performance side skirts
Double scoop dash with CIC and mulf2
Door handle lights
19" rims

I have been collecting parts for some time now and this is what I have:

LCI hood
LCI xenons
Performance skirts
Dash
Door handle lights
CIC with CDC and knob

Some time next week I will order the performance front bumper and performance kiddneys and some lowering springs.

I havent decided about the rims yet, but i like the CSLs, as summer is on the doorstep I have to make up my mind soon!

Upgrades I want but cant afford (yet):
LCI trunk and lights
Coilovers
LSD
BBK

As im making progress or not making progress I will update the thread and hopefully get som good feedback from you guys.

All feedback is good feedback!

Some pictures of my car as it is now

Thanks!

I was going for a factory painted front bumper as this is cheaper than delivering it to a local paintshop, but the dealer told me that this would not get delivered before mid May!

I might go for the "grundiert" version and get it painted, then I wil have the part by the end of this week
It really doesent matter, since I have to get som parts painted anyway. But this means that my budget is about to break

Then some good news!
Yestarday I tested the LCi xenons, the worked perfect!
Exept that the cornering lights went on when I turned on high beams. I guess I`ll have to code in bi-xenon since my car uses the inner halogens for high beam from factory.

I also ripped out the plastic cover under the steering column and pulled the FRM ecu out, found the terminals for the handle lights and meassured the voltage coming out, they are working. When i open the doors or unlock with fob the voltage rises to 12 volts slowly. I allready have the LEDs that goes in the handles, but the wiring is not there, so I need to get som wire and cable connectors that go in the door connector and in the connector on the FRM. Shouldnt be that hard, Easy peasy

Looks great!

Just a quick question - after all the LCI components and painting, have you compared the costs vs. selling your car and picking up an LCI? I'm curious how part prices compare with vehicle prices in your country.

In totalt I guess im looking at 3,5k for the whole thing, there are two things that made me do this instead of buying a new car.

1.The Norwegian krone is very strong as the Norwegian economy is almost not affected by the economical crisis everywhere else. (As I have bought all of the parts abroad)
2. When I got the 325d the paint was in a really bad condition and I got it "cheap", ($ 60k) compared to others witch was i good shape $ 75 - 80k.

So if I would want to buy a "new" LCI e90 with "my" spec it would cost me a whole lot more. Taxes in Norway are crazy, for refernce 2012 F30 M3 costs rougly $ 210k. The government takes half!!

Thanks for your input. Makes sense what you're doing!

BTW, you get to keep the better looking side mirrors!

I dont think there will be any adjustments more than "normal". The dimensions are axactly the same.

Im actually thinking of swapping them with M3 mirrors. Not because I want my 325d to be a M3, but I like the looks!

Any opinions?
