Changed my 2008 328i spark plug
Just changed my 08's plugs yesterday. Fairly straightforward, followed the 330i DIY. I do want to note that you do not have to get a bunch of extension bar's like every DIY out there says you need. I just used a 10" bar for all 6 plugs and used a different socket to unscrew the brace and move it out the way (SEE PIC 1). More than enough room to work with. Just remember to put it back later
Background info Original Plugs: Bosch FR7NPP332 New plugs: NGK LZFR6AP11GS Price: <$60 shipped I decided to change it because I felt some rough idle and I was a little concerned about my decreased MPG. At almost 60K miles, it wouldn't hurt to replace it anyway. I also replaced the air filter and did the charcoal delete (I actually did this a day before I changed the plugs. I drove around and didn't notice a difference...but less obstruction the better right?!). After sacrificing the 600RR to a 70 degree New England weather and instead took the car, I have to say it felt a lot snappier. Perhaps my plugs are FUBAR, but whatever it is, I'm glad I spent the time and effort to do some preventative/regular maintenance OIL COMING UP IN 500 MILES!
