I got my AP on Wednsday, finaly hit some some what dry roads here as we have a lot of melting snow where I am, it is about 33F here and I am on the stock run flats with not much tread, I was unable to put the V4 map onto my car as i got a fatal error flashing the car, altho when talking to cobb they told me I was fine to run it but I flashed back to V3.01 just to be safe.
I was a little worried as the first time i drove it with the tune in the car I really didn't notice more of a differance, but with the wet roads i was just spinning the tires, but this morning with hitting a patch or dry road punching it at about 4k in 2nd and yes sir my butt dyno said holy heck this is awesome. Now I want to put some 94 oct gas in and go to the agressive map. AP is worth the money, and for my first performance mod I think I made the right choice. Hope everyone waiting to get theres likes it as much as i do |

I picked up a used one on Saturday and installed it on my otherwise bone stock car. First I updated to the beta AP firmware and then got the beta 4.00 maps. So I've never run on the older maps for comparison. I used to drive a fairly fast turbo car and to be honest I was a little underwhelmed by the Stage 1 sport map. I could feel the difference but I didn't feel it quite lived up to the reviews. So just for the heck of it I added 20% E85 to take care of potential knock issues and put Stage1+FMIC on it to run for short bursts.
This is more like what I was expecting, feels good - no issues on a warmed up motor. The next day I did find that Cobb doesn't reduce boost like the stock code when the motor is cold and I did get some misfires on the cold motor. As soon as it warmed back up it was fine. I'm sure new plugs are in order, but I also wish Cobb used a more stock-like boost control scheme on a cold motor. I'll be doing the dyno and the dragstrip stock, and on each of those two settings in the next few weeks to see what kind of difference is seen in the numbers. |

Yeah :-). It still shouldn't misfire, though. And I wasn't WOT, the boost was just coming up quickly when I'd tip into it a bit. I took it a bit easier this morning for the first couple of minutes and it was fine as soon as I did got on it harder.

![]() If you don't already have an intake you should go ahead and order a DCI, for just a $100 it worth it for the sound alone lol |

The intake debate has been going back and forth forever... But in my honest opinion, the BMS DCI is the intake to run. It's only $100 and it sounds REALLY good with a tune. There aren't many dyno comparos of intakes, but the ones that BMS put out shows a gain. I don't see a point in spending several hundred dollars on a pretty intake.
