Car hesitates on acceleration/fuel injectors?
i have a 2008 335xi coupe. lately my car hesitates and feels like it loses power when i hit the gas, no matter what speed/gear. i have heard that it could be the injectors? i have installed the vishnu procede and air intake. even with the procede off it still hesitates. any ideas? are there any videos of how to replace injectors if thats the problem?

Hi,
It certainly could be injectors, but then it could be coil pack, sparks, carbon buildup, turbo leak, HPFP (very beginning symptoms), or even ECU playing up. Known issues are injectors and HPFP but I doubt you want to go do that if that isn't the problem! Fundamentally a lack of acceleration is because either air, fuel or spark don't happen/do not happen at the right time. If you are more specific you could get more accurate responses (i..e. at what engine speed does it occur, how noticeable is it, is it gear specific, is it at hot or cold engine only) - this is all important stuff to diagnose with. I guess the first thing you want to do is get the codes read and see if that kicks up anything. |
