eibach pro springs on e90?
hi i have a e90 335i non sports. if i were to stick with stock struts, which lowering spring would yield the least strain on the struts while giving the "perfect stance".
and once lowered, how long until i'd need to replace the struts? i only commute to work and the roads where i live at are relatively smooth thanks for your time. Last edited by shoopdawoop; 03-18-2012 at 07:10 AM.. |

A "perfect stance" is a matter of opinion. Personally I prefer the stance of the EPK springs over other spring options. I also like the ride, stiffer than stock, but not to stiff as a daily commuter.
If your shocks are stock (non zsp) you may or may not be satisfied with the ride on imperfect roads. Your stock struts may prove to be over-match and lack rebound/dampening control going over bumps which may yield is more bounce. The spring rate of the EPK springs is very similar to that of the zsp spring/sports pack springs, so they are a better match for the zsp shocks. You may be able to find some low mileage used zsp springs in the classified section. For the record, I too had stock shocks/springs, but made the switch to EPK springs and paired them with the old BMW Performance shocks. |
