Remapping a 330D is always Epic

I'd love to hear what yours sounds like, I just had dual exits put on mine and it sounds little deeper if your giving it some right foot but it is alot more 'whoooshy' sounding like its not as restricted? I'm little worried that the DPF is really noticable in terms of loudness.. it needs to be fairly undected from the other half lol

BTW on the map it says the DPF is undetected, so its been removed and mapped out and not just switched off?

Cracking results though bud!

Kool! did you see the DPF delete pipe? Seeing more and more tuners offering them now.

The MPG improvement will be pretty noticeable too.. let us know how you get on with that

i just had the dpf cleaned out....so all the internals were removed...i was not overly worried about that power gain so it looks like the dpf if still there haha

Nice remap stats! Although I would say these are very simiar to Evolve (which keeps the DPF)

In fact, will this fail at MOT time with the new DPF rules?

Good idea! I really want to do it for the difference on MPG.. and if it comes with extra power then bonus but i'm plenty happy as it is now 290 hp/500ft lbs

Somebody posted up the new MOT rules and DPF removal is in their as a MOT failure.

Quick google found lots of confusion as rules can be a bit vague...Honest John said: http://www.honestjohn.co.uk/askhj/an...remove-my-dpf-

It's not 'illegal' as HJ says. There is yet to be any law passed.

For MOT purposes it is quite vague but to be honest how easy is it to check a DPF is present and working correctly on these cars? I'd have though quite difficult but maybe I'm wrong.

It's an easy enough job to find out if the DPF is present, with the car on a lift and the lower engine apron removed,it's clearly visible.
However you won't know if the internals of the DPF are present, and I don't believe MOT testers remove covers/aprons to make inspections.
Most cars with DPF's go through a smoke test, which quite a few cars pass without a DPF.

As for the updated MOT regs that came into force in Jan this year,I had read that if a car came from the factory with a part fitted,if that part was subsequently removed it would automatically fail the test.
So Beemers with a DPF/Cat/C that's gone AWOL would fail.

I've since heard the above only applies to cars from a 58 plate onwards, but in honesty the rules seem so vague I'm not sure what's right and whats wrong

That's what I mean though mate its hard to see as they can't start taking things off to see. I've no clue where the dpf sits and you just clarified that for me ta.

Yeah the black ones mine. He's pretty impressive when it comes to detailing, makes maintaining it that much easier also.

I bet you love it even more so now its quicker, very impressive figures. I'm not sure i can live with 163bhp much longer after seeing all these 330d threads.

I'd like to see a pic of the front end with the black grill. I'm debating putting one on mine. Your facebook link no longer works.
