bmw 135i coupe- vid

http://blogs.cars.com/kickingtires/2...-youtube-.html

i havent seen this mentioned, or i must be blind.
anyway, im sure there are a few things to bring up. wouldnt this cannabalise bmw's own sales somewhere? 335, 1 series, z4, 3 series coupes. is there potential for a "m" 1 series after this?
0-100 in 5.3 secs is pretty nice, and with the tuning potential of the procede and what not, it makes for an attractive package. pricing is supposed to be around $80k as well.

Seen the vid on this forum (different section) before and i must say this car looks like its going to be a blast to drive. The exterior at the moment isn't doing a thing for me, but when i get the chance to see it in person i might like it more.

As for cannabilising BMW's own sales, i don't think so. There will be SOME people who go oh wait the 135 is the closest thing to M-performance and is cheaper then 335 i might as well buy the 135(these are people who are after performance). I think there will be a majority of people in the mindset of myself who say to themselves that the 335 looks more refined, sporty and elegant so i would rather purchase the 335 over the 135. The 135 really does target the young mainly from ages 18-25, the segment in the market where VW R32, 350Z's, EVO's and S2000 dominate.

I think you are right Chris. The rich man's WRX.

I think it looks a little.... errrr... odd. I can't place my finger on it but something about the styling does not seem right to me.

Cheers.
