2009 325d oil leak and judder

Hey guys,

So I have a 2009 325d on 30,000 miles and I'm have a few issues. Previous parts replaced under warranty are

- egr valve
- both front struts
- software has been reset twice
- turbo replaced 2000 miles ago approx

The turbo was replaced after I noticed an oil leak from the little pipe with the green writing on in the pictures below. You can see the oil on the pipes below this one. After about 500 miles I started to notice a juddering and hesitation coming from the car under light acceleration and at varying speeds and gears I have since spoken to a very reliable source and he thinks it could be a kick back of oil over the air mass meter causing the issue. The car has never done this previously. 2000 miles later and the juddering is still going on and the oil leak has returned.

Does anyone know what the pipe is and what it does?
What could cause the oil?
What could cause the juddering?

Your help would be much appreciated

I admit to not knowing this specific engine, but that pipe you refer to is on the inlet side of the turbo.
The side where air is sucked from the air filter into the turbo where its is pressurised and sent out of the alloy pipe with the green line.

The pipe leaking oil must certainly be the scavenge line from the engine breather.
If so it would not be unusual for a little oil to find its way there from the breather on the engine that takes oil vapour away.
Oil can sit there and weeps out when the engine is off, also this oil debris can seep from the big intercooler pipe connections under the radiator too.

The question is of course, is that much oil from the breather normal?
I suspect not so would investigate the oil traps upstream.
And I would have thought a clamp would be present on that rubber hose.
Its not under pressure, but even so....

Yeah no probs I'm keeping a close eye on the thread anyway. It's the black rubber hose with the writing on
If that helps anyone and car is an auto.
