I actually have that fall off my car before. It connect sto the metal part of either the driver's or passenger's seat, can be from the front or the back..that looks like the front though. I would include a pic if I had one.
Usually get's knocked off it's place when I hit with my shoes. Try it...it should pop right in.

Awesome! I'll go try it now. If was found closer to the front of the seat.
