Comfortable winter car for bad bumpy roads!

Hello!

So I sold my 2011 Golf V cause it was just to stiff for long job journeys and such. I also often travel to the local resort for skiing/snowboarding where the roads are utterly crap.
Which cars would you guys recommend me for driving on bad, bumpy and snowy conditions?

Id prefer a cheap car with good fuel consumption as I travel over 40.000km a year mostly! And ofcourse it needs to be very comfortable with space for atleast 4 guys. Im pretty open to any brand, but id like to not have a SUV

Thank you!
Best Regards Freddan

I'd go with an Audi A3 or Honda CR-V. They both have good gas mileage and are decently cheap to maintain.

Subaru Outback would seem to fit your criteria.

I wont be getting a Subaru. Dont like the look on them and they feel so cheap inside.
I drove the new XV 3 days ago and I was pretty impressed tho :P

A3 is like a golf with better looks imo.
But the Allroad is pretty nice I think
