I found my way into another 335i... I love this car too much I guess
About 3 weeks after getting the car, my girl and I are leaving Scottsdale mall tonight and I go to close the driver's side door of our newly acquired 2007 e90 and the door just slams into the side of the car and bounces off... I get out to look, and the locking mechanism within the door is stuck in the lock position, with the door ajar. I open the passenger side door to compare/contrast- see what I can do to manually open the driver's door lock and lo and behold... I manage to f*** that door up too. Long story short, I think there is an electrical short of sorts in the door locking mechanism. I was able to get the driver door to latch shut by taking the physical key out of the fob and manually resetting the mechanism that way... but I had to drive home for miles with my girl holding the perma-locked passenger door against the car, unable to get it to unlock to close. Has anyone had a similar issue with these cars? My other n54 has never had this issue and since this is the car my girl takes my 2 month daughter from place to place in... I don't want her having a similar issue where she cant get the back door to latch while I'm stuck at work or something... Any input is really appreciated here. Thanks in advance |

You might get a better response posting in the general forums. This issue is not related to the N54 and you would get 3x as many looks by people who drive 3 series with other engines.
Good luck on figuring out your issue. If you think its electrical you might unhooking the battery for 10 minutes of so. It may reset the gremlin issue you're having. |
