335is
It hasn't been mentioned yet, but DINAN Stage II is an option. It is a software only upgrade for your 335is. And it will get you 385hp, and not void your BMW warranty. Down side of course is the price, $1799.

OP, I have both and have tried both for tuning. I ended using COBB for tuning and JB4 for other cool features like gauge hijacking. Reason is all the of the above. Go with COBB and don't look back

If it is BHP then its only about 20whp over a stock 335is & a bit expensive for the gain.

335is is already over-boosted, there is only so much you can get out of a stock vehicle. 20WHP sounds about right.
If you want more out of it you will need more mods. 335is can use Cobb PROcede JB4 or Dinan to name a few. |

My baseline on a Dynojet was 314whp (Terry had guessed it would be around 310whp) & with only the JB4 Map2 ($505) it went up to 365whp. Have added the new 3/7 JB4 Firmware & the current N54_032512.HEX file which runs a custom 335IS Map 6 on 93+ fuel. Don't know what the new WHP number would look like but the car with the additional boost is measurably quicker speed to distance over what it was. Have a FMIC on the Brown Truck from you guys to be delivered on Tuesday. I am not really looking for more power from it (that would be nice though) but want to keep what I have from melting away in the Carolina summer. If the normal 15% crank to rear wheels loss is valid I have 420BHP prior to the new maps & FMIC. Still think the major value of Dinan is the warranty which will cover what the BMW warranty will not.

Thanks for your order, you will be happy with the FMIC for sure. Great consistency, throttle response, and overall power gains. |

Either tune will work fine on the car and will give you the extra kick you're looking for. It ultimately comes down to whether your looking for a piggy back system or a flash tune for the car. As others have already mentioned, flashing the ECU/DME is the right way of doing things and that is the route I personally would go as well!
