I've used it many times and yes the Wheel Wax does work very well. It has some light cleaning agents in it and it also leaves a solid layer of protection behind. This makes cleaning the wheels faster and easier in the future. The Poorboy's World Wheel Sealant is another great option that is just a bit more durable in my experience but it has no cleaning properties. Both are great in their own right. Let me know if you have any other questions and I'll be happy to help.

I put a layer on my wheels each spring before swapping them in and it gives them a bit more shine and does prevent brake dust from sticking to the wheels. Don't expect any miracles though, you'll still need to rinse them with soap from time to time and give them a light swipe.

I just bought it again to compliment my new wheels. It's great. Gives it a little extra shine but the most important thing is the ability to keep it clean.

Mendossa is right, you still need to give it a good soap wash every now and then, but you can literally take a MF towel and wipe off all the brake dust. A friend of mine uses his pressure washer and it works beautifully.

Also, a little goes a long way.

I do (usually) wheel off cleaning of my stock 156 (yeah, even those cheap ass ones) at Thanksgiving and Easter. Clean with simple green, clay, then at least 2 coats of PBWWax. Stuff smells good after a while, and it makes cleaning during the year a lot easier. I could go wipe my finger on the almost black rims right now and get to a nice shiny surface.

Excellent. Thanks. Now that our mild non-winter is over in the northeast, we're having a cool spring. I'll look forward to trying the WheelWax that UPS will deliver today.

Doesn't this stuff just get stripped right of by wheel cleaners? I wouldn't think that any wax or sealant could hold up to your typical wheel cleaner.

The point of the wax/sealant is to not need as many harsh wheel cleaners and just regular soap/water (and a little agitation for the hard stuff) will take care of most of the grime and dirt. It's not perfect, but it does help.

+1. No need for chemicals as often, just some water or a wipe with a MF towel.
And a professional can correct me if I am wrong, but I think wheel wax holds up to heat from wheels and brakes better than regular wax.
I love the stuff.

I have PB Wheel Sealant, a lot of it actually, use it every now and then. The absolute best way to seal and protect is a coating. I opti coated my wheels and rarely use anything anymore other than a spray of water to clean. I use a little bit of PB after a month or two but the OC does the trick the best.

I have satin black lc818. Worst part is cleaning them thanks to BMW pads. Anyways can I put the wheel wax on these wheels without any damage. They are so hard to clean. Thanks

The wheelwax attracts more dust and dirt, but also makes the wheels easier to clean when it's cleaning time. Just get some optimum no rinse and make a small mixture of it and quickly clean them up.

No need to pull out a hose and get all messy or use any wheel cleaners.
